wdbx

Plan abi WDBX vector-store work — in-process KV+vector store, HNSW, WAL/segment persistence, loopback cluster RPC, REST serve, bench, and reference-grade secure demos. Use when asked about wdbx, vector search, persistence, clustering, or the secure demo. Routes to wdbx-roundtrip/api-serve/cluster-serve/bench, secure-demo, abi-superpower-wdbx*, and abi-wdbx-persistence. Demos are reference-grade, NOT production FHE/AES/sharding.

WDBX moved out of this repository on 2026-08-22. It now lives in the sibling repo ../wdbx together with abi-compute, abi-foundation, abi-core, and abi-telemetry; abi consumes them by relative path. Source paths below therefore read ../wdbx/crates/.... Run WDBX-only tests from that repo (./tools/cargo.sh test --locked --manifest-path ../wdbx/Cargo.toml --workspace < /dev/null, run from the abi checkout), and abi's gate (./tools/check.sh) from here.

Under the Abbey System Constitution (docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-22-abbey-system-constitution.md) WDBX is the provenance-aware episodic substrate, not a vector store. Most of the evidence half of its specification is unimplemented; the measured gap list is in docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-22-wdbx-conformance-gap-analysis.md. Do not describe an episodic capability as Current on the strength of the vector-store features that do exist.

wdbx

Entry point for abi's WDBX vector store (../wdbx/crates/abi-wdbx/src/). Routes:

You want to…Use
Insert→query round-trip smokewdbx-roundtrip
Serve loopback REST (abi wdbx api serve)wdbx-api-serve
In-process Raft consensus demo / cluster servewdbx-cluster-serve, cluster-demo-guide
Benchmarkwdbx-bench
abi wdbx secure demo (quant / Huffman / autoencoder / HE / FHE)secure-demo
Persistence (WAL / segments / recovery) deep-diveabi-wdbx-persistence
Superpower deep-divesabi-superpower-wdbx, -wdbx-cluster, -wdbx-compute, -wdbx-secure

Honest boundaries (from docs/contracts/external-claims-audit.mdx §WDBX)

  • Real: in-process KV + vector store, HNSW, SIMD cosine, MVCC snapshots, WAL/segment checkpoints, loopback Raft RPC (RequestVote/AppendEntries), int8 quantization, order-0 Huffman, in-process autoencoder, additive HE, DGHV somewhat-HE (reference parameters).
  • NOT production multi-host distributed deployment or data sharding.
  • NOT production-secure or bootstrapped full FHE; no AES/RBAC WDBX storage.
  • NOT a production / learned-SOTA compression codec.
  • Non-loopback bind refuses without ABI_WDBX_CLUSTER_TOKEN; REST is 127.0.0.1-only (ABI_WDBX_REST_TOKEN for bearer auth). TLS env vars are validated but native TLS is not linked — deploy behind a TLS-terminating proxy.

Maintain the Abbey / Aviva / Abi Discord system prompts in the Rust abbey-bot (`src/ask.rs`) and keep the hosted Grok bots (Grok Bot Abbey, Aviva Grok) in step with them. Use when the user says "improve grok bots", "abbey prompt", "persona prompt", "ask.rs", "system prompt", "tip floor", asks to change how Abbey/Aviva/Abi speak on Discord, or after an abbey-bot PR merges and the hosted bot's tip floor needs bumping. Runs as /abbey-system-prompt.

Validate ABI docs and external collateral against repo evidence and docs/contracts/external-claims-audit.mdx. Use when auditing claims, scanning docs for unsupported QPS/sharding/FHE/AES language, checking one claim before publish, or re-confirming the external-claims audit. Agent procedure only — not a CLI or slash command. Pair with abi-doc-claims-sync when editing docs.

Synchronize ABI Markdown and docs claims with executable behavior. Use before editing README, AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, GEMINI.md, docs/**/*.mdx, walkthroughs, changelogs, or any old ABI Markdown that mentions WDBX, MCP, GPU, clustering, compression, FHE, agents, or benchmarks.

Plan and execute ABI repo work from the TODO board, roadmap/spec docs, stable Rust 1.99.1 constraints, and validation gates. Use when the user asks to find ABI todos/roadmaps, organize a large implementation from tasks/todo.md, or decide the next safe work slice. Distinct from the goals skill — that skill owns the persistent ledger tasks/goals.md; this skill plans from the active board and north-star specs.
