What it does
Search prompts.chat for AI prompts and retrieve their contents, or improve a prompt you already have. Narrow searches by keyword, category, tag, or output type, including text, image, video, and audio. Results include titles, descriptions, authors, categories, tags, and links so you can review the options.
When it helps
Use it when you need a starting prompt for asking AI to review code or help with writing. It can also retrieve a prompt when you know its ID, or revise a prompt you already use. For an improved prompt, you also receive an explanation of the changes.
Example requests
- “Find a prompt for code reviews.”
- “Search for prompts in the writing category.”
- “Improve this prompt for image generation and explain the changes.”
Notes
A connection to the prompts.chat MCP server is required. Searching, retrieving, and improving use search_prompts, get_prompt, and improve_prompt, respectively. When a retrieved prompt has variables, those without defaults require input; variables with defaults are optional.
