Jewel PR and release preparation

Both workflows are interactive checklists. Work through one step at a time, report the result of each step, and stop to ask the user before you move on when a check fails.

Check the platform/jewel/docs folder for the process guides:

Choose the workflow

  • Prepare a pull request: follow pull-request.md. It validates the commit, runs the local CI checks, drafts the release notes entry, and creates the PR with scripts/validate_pr_body.py and scripts/suggest_reviewers.py.
  • Prepare a release: follow release.md. It covers the version bumps, the checks, the release notes, the cherry-picks to the release branches, the artifact validation, and the tagging.
