website-visitor-follow-up

Use this skill when you know which companies visited your website and want to follow up without being creepy: "turn website visitors into meetings", "who should we contact from yesterday's visitors", "write outreach for high-intent visits". Scores visits by page intent and recency, filters to ICP accounts, finds the right person, and writes helpful outreach that matches the topic of the visit without ever mentioning the visit. Includes privacy and consent guardrails.

Use this when company-level website visit data is available. A visit tells you timing and topic; the message must use both without revealing either.

Inputs

  • Company-level visit data: company, pages, number of visits, dates.
  • ICP and tiers.
  • A map of your site pages to topics and intent level.

The play

1. Map pages to intent

Page typeIntentExample
Pricing, plans, demo, contactHigh/pricing, /demo
Comparisons and alternativesHigh/vs-competitor
Case studies, integrations, securityMedium-high/customers, /security
Product and solution pagesMedium/product/scheduling
Blog, free tools, careersLow/blog/*, /careers

Careers-page visits are usually job seekers; exclude them. Repeat visits by your own customers are product usage, not intent.

2. Score and filter

Score = page intent + visit depth (3+ pages: +) + recency (last 48 hours: +) + repeat visits across days (+). Keep only ICP accounts with no open deal owned by someone else and no current customer status.

3. Find the likely person

Match the topic to a persona: pricing plus security pages suggests an evaluator in IT or operations; comparison pages suggest the champion. Pick 1-2 people, not the whole company.

4. Write about the topic, never the visit

The message offers something useful on the exact topic they looked at: the comparison, the security pack, a pricing explainer, a customer story in their industry. It should read as well-timed, not watched.

Subject: scheduling for multi-site teams

Hi Ana, teams running 10+ locations usually ask us the same three questions before switching: how shift swaps work, what it costs per location, and how long rollout takes. Here is a two-minute answer to all three. Happy to walk your team through it if useful.

5. Move fast, once

High-intent accounts get a touch within 24 hours. One signal-led touch per account per week, then let the normal sequence take over.

What good looks like

  • Zero mentions of the visit, the pages or tracking, in any message.
  • The offered asset matches the pages viewed.
  • Low-intent blog traffic is left to marketing, not sent to reps.
  • The common mistake is "I noticed someone from your company was on our site", which turns a warm signal into a privacy complaint.

Rules

  • MUST work from company-level data and lawful sources only.
  • MUST respect the site's consent settings and regional privacy rules.
  • NEVER reference the visit, the pages or the tracking in outreach.
  • NEVER treat a single blog visit as a reason for sales outreach.

Example prompts

  • "Here are yesterday's identified visitor companies with pages. Who should we contact and what should we send?"
  • "Build an intent score for our site's pages."
  • "Write follow-ups for accounts that viewed our comparison pages this week."

Use this skill when you run account-based marketing or sales on a short list of named accounts: "build an ABM plan", "account plan for our top 20", "how do we break into this enterprise account", "1:1 ABM program". Picks the accounts and the ABM tier (1:1, 1:few, 1:many), maps the buying group, writes the account insight and value hypothesis, plans coordinated sales and marketing plays by stage, and sets the metrics (engagement, meetings, pipeline) that show it is working.

Use this skill when you need to research a target company before outreach, a first call or an account plan: "research this account", "what should I know about Acme before the call", "find a reason to reach out". Produces a one-page account brief with what the company does, current priorities, recent trigger events, likely pains tied to your offer, the people to contact and three specific outreach angles, each with its source. Built for SDRs, AEs and founders doing B2B sales.

Use this skill when you need to decide which accounts get the most effort: "tier my account list", "which accounts should get 1:1 research", "prioritise my territory", "score these companies". Scores every account on ICP fit and timing, assigns Tier 1, 2 or 3 with a clear effort level for each tier, and explains the score so reps trust it. Produces a tiered account list and the operating rules for how much research, personalization and channel effort each tier gets.

Use this skill when you want your brand recommended and cited by AI assistants and answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews): "answer engine optimisation", "get cited by ChatGPT", "AEO audit", "why doesn't AI recommend us", "generative engine optimization". Finds the questions buyers ask assistants in your category, checks how answers describe you today, and rewrites pages so they give extractable, factual, well-structured answers with clear entities, comparisons, schema and third-party corroboration.

Use this skill when you want to close the loop with a prospect who has not replied after several touches, or a deal that went silent: "write a breakup email", "last email in the sequence", "close the loop politely". Writes a short, gracious final email that gives an easy out, invites a one-word reply, leaves the door open for later and often gets more replies than any earlier step. Includes versions for cold sequences, stalled deals and lost champions.

Use this skill when you need B2B buyer personas that sales and marketing will actually use: before writing outreach to a new title, when messaging feels generic, or when a deal stalls because the wrong person is engaged. Builds a persona per role in the buying committee with goals, pains in their own words, what they are measured on, objections, trusted sources and the message angle that works, plus a do-not-say list. Covers economic buyers, champions, users and blockers.
