  • Getting a concise issue or pull request summary
  • Setting a word, line, or paragraph limit

Overview

What it does

s turns the previous message into a short summary in plain English that a non-expert can follow. It can simplify a long explanation or technical text while making the content and its importance clear. Use all to summarize the full conversation or the issue, pull request, or diff the skill is attached to.

You can guide the output length with arguments: w N sets an approximate word count, l N sets a line count, and p N sets a paragraph count. By default, the result is flowing prose in a short paragraph. The summary preserves facts, numbers, caveats, and uncertainty from the source, and does not recast the topic as something else.

When it helps

Use it to grasp a long message quickly or restate technical details in everyday English. It can also help when you need a brief overview of a conversation, issue, pull request, or diff to share with others.

Example requests

  • “Summarize this explanation in short, plain English.”
  • “all w 100. Summarize the whole conversation in about 100 words.”
  • “Explain this diff in three paragraphs.”

Notes

The summary is written in English. Word, line, and paragraph settings are approximate limits or targets.

Summary (plain English)

Summarize the previous message. Use this to restate something that was too long or too technical.

Arguments (combinable):

  • all — summarize everything in view: the whole conversation so far, or the whole issue, pull request, or diff this is attached to.
  • w N — cap the summary at roughly N words.
  • l N — write the summary as N lines.
  • p N — write the summary as N paragraphs.

Style:

  • Write flowing prose, one or two short paragraphs by default.
  • Use plain English a non-expert can follow. Cover what the thing does and why it matters.
  • Stay direct and matter-of-fact.
  • Describe turbovec on its own terms.
  • Keep every fact from the source, including its caveats, numbers, and uncertainty. Simplify the language and preserve the substance.
