Description
This project is a local privilege escalation proof of concept for the ASUS AsIO3.sys driver that abuses both its authorization model and its privileged IOCTL surface. The archive shows direct use of ASIO_RDMSR_IOCTL and ASIO_WRMSR_IOCTL for MSR access, plus an ASIO_ADDPID request that is sent after querying the inherited parent PID to satisfy or bypass the driver's trust logic. Its exploit code manually resolves NTDLL exports, opens \Device\Asusgio3 with native syscalls, and issues the control requests through NtDeviceIoControlFile, so it reads like shellcode-oriented exploit code rather than a developer utility. It is mainly useful for Windows security researchers studying native-syscall LPE chains, AsIO3 authorization bypasses, and the security impact of exposing MSR and process-based control IOCTLs.
