Use when debugging RelWithDebInfo or -O2 release builds, using -Og for debuggable optimization, split-DWARF, GDB scheduler-locking, reading inlined frames, or understanding "value optimized out".

Use when working with LLVM IR as a user: emitting IR from clang, running opt passes, lowering with llc, reading IR, or finding a missed optimization. Not for writing new passes: use llvm-passes.

Use when writing or porting AArch64 SIMD to SVE or SVE2: arm_sve.h intrinsics, predicates, vector-length-agnostic loops, auto-vectorization, or SVE registers in GDB. Not for NEON: use simd-intrinsics.

Use when -O3 leaves a hot loop scalar, spills appear in assembly, or a PGO or BOLT deployment is planned or stalls. Not for machine lowering: use code-generation-and-backends.

Use when reading llc output, tracing IR through legalization and instruction selection, or scoping a new LLVM target. Not for IR-level passes: use llvm-ir-and-passes.

Use when a C or C++ build uses clang and needs diagnostics, optimization remarks, clang-tidy, ThinLTO with lld, LLVM PGO, or a GCC-to-Clang migration. Not for LLVM IR work: use llvm.

Use when a measured cost surface needs one-change-at-a-time reduction under frozen guardrails. Not for speed-only optimization: use optimize.

Use when a human explicitly requests the daily on-call issue digest from a named issue tracker for a configured Slack channel. Not for posting without explicit human authorization for that run.

Establish Proto UI repository state, live contributor authority, Agent comprehension scope, task risk, and authorization before work begins. Use at the start of a development session, before autonomous task selection, after a material repository update, or when permission or assessment state may have changed.

Publish one prepared Agent evidence packet as an additive Issue comment, including historical or closed Issues, under exact current authorization. Use after read-only Issue inspection and separately authorized evidence preparation. Do not reproduce, select work, upload assets, edit human text, claim, review, close, or change Issue metadata.

Post one already selected Proto UI work-item claim as a reversible GitHub metadata mutation. Use after pui-select produced a current proposal and the exact claim has authorization, live permission, current readiness, and an idempotent write boundary. Do not select work, decide readiness, release claims, or widen the authorized wording.

Implement one governed Proto UI Adapter-profile realization slice. Use when target and runtime range, supported or omitted Module role, Host Capability fidelity, lifecycle translation, failure behavior, compatibility boundary, and evidence scope are fixed by current authority. Use pui-adapter-assess for research or readiness assessment and pui-regression first for a governed failing behavior.

Implement or revise one governed Proto UI Host Capability connecting a semantic Module to a bounded host responsibility. Use when capability identity, portable need, public shape, availability, failure, replacement, cleanup, fidelity, Adapter realization, and evidence are fixed by current authority.

Apply one independently reviewable numeric Proto UI package-budget increase for an already accepted capability, using canonical cost evidence and existing development authorization. Use for standalone ceiling transactions, not feature implementation, measurement-policy changes, spending limits, publication or release.

Use when a slice shows duplicate helpers, fake modularization, oversized-file pressure, or AI-shaped code slop that needs explicit cleanup discipline.

Translate, complete, and audit Docusaurus localization under docs/i18n for both UI JSON catalogs and documentation Markdown/MDX pages. Use when adding or correcting locales, when a language switcher translates only theme labels while page content stays in the default language, or when verifying that non-default locales do not fall back to source documentation.

Fix silent metadata issues in RFDB node storage. Covers two traps: (1) metadata flattening — nested metadata fields become top-level after serialization, so node.metadata.field is undefined but node.field works. (2) reserved keys — fields named "type", "id", "name", "file", "exported" are silently stripped from metadata by _parseNode() to prevent overwriting top-level node fields.

Fix scattered/torn regions in hex-grid simulated annealing layouts that use "competitive flood-fill" (one tile per region per outer iteration). Use when: (1) regions of >20 tiles end up dispersed instead of forming compact blobs, (2) maxDist/sqrt(N) dispersion ratio is 10×+ worse than the ideal compact blob, (3) tiles assigned to one region show up in multiple disconnected fragments across the layout, (4) the visualization has a "trypophobia ring" pattern at the perimeter where some regions spill into a perimeter spiral, (5) an overflow spiral fallback exists in the layout code and frequently kicks in for large regions, (6) bigger regions look worse than smaller ones (small regions stay compact, big ones shred). Root cause: interleaved competitive flood-fill (round-robin one tile at a time across all regions) lets large regions get boxed in by neighbors before they finish growing — the unfilled remainder is dumped into the overflow spiral at the perimeter, far from the seed. Fix: replace with sequential region-by-region BFS — process regions in size-descending order, fully claim each region's N contiguous tiles before moving to the next.

Design guide + benchmarked pitfalls for building Monte-Carlo / Simulated Annealing refinement layers on top of greedy hex-grid layouts for code visualization (packages/gui/src/store/hexLayout.ts, sandbox/hex-sandbox, future Rust ports). Use when: (1) planning to add MC/SA on top of an existing hex-grid pack, (2) deciding whether a simpler SA would match a hierarchical MC with force-directed + chain drag, (3) budgeting wall-clock for million-node cold-start, (4) debugging "blob turns Swiss-cheese" or "folders stop nucleating" during MC refinement, (5) choosing between folder cohesion and raw Σ-link-length as cost function. Contains four hard-won, quantified lessons and anti-patterns that would take a full day of experiments to rediscover.

Build and deploy full-stack web and mobile apps with AWS Amplify Gen2 (TypeScript code-first). Covers auth (Cognito), data (AppSync/DynamoDB including schema modeling, enum types, relationships, authorization rules), storage (S3), functions, APIs, and AI (Amplify AI Kit with Bedrock). Supports React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, React Native, Flutter, Swift, and Android. Always use this skill for Amplify Gen2 topics — even for questions you think you know — it contains validated, version-specific patterns that prevent common mistakes. TRIGGER when: user mentions Amplify Gen2; project has amplify/ directory or amplify_outputs; code imports @aws-amplify packages; user asks about defineBackend, defineAuth, defineData, defineStorage, or npx ampx. SKIP: Amplify Gen1 (amplify CLI v6), standalone SAM/CDK without Amplify (use aws-serverless), direct Bedrock without Amplify AI Kit (use bedrock).
