Fix ClickHouse query errors in Rust when using clickhouse-rs crate. Use when: (1) "string is not valid utf8" errors - typically FixedString columns need CAST to String, (2) "tag for enum is not valid" errors - typically Option<T> fields receiving non-NULL values, (3) Sum/count aggregations returning Float64 but Rust expects u64, (4) LEFT JOIN results with empty strings where Rust expects Option::None, (5) "not enough data, probably a row type mismatches a database schema" - query SELECT returns fewer columns than the Rust Row struct expects (common when multiple query functions share the same struct but one function is missing columns added later), (6) Garbled/corrupted data when INSERTing to FixedString(N) columns using String Rust type - silently corrupts data (no error!) because String adds a length prefix but FixedString expects exactly N raw bytes. Fix: use [u8; N] with #[serde(with = "BigArray")] from serde-big-array, (7) "the trait bound `[u8; 64]: serde::Serialize` is not satisfied" when using [u8; N] arrays in Row structs - need #[serde(with = "BigArray")] annotation from serde-big-array crate.

Decide whether a task deserves its own git worktree and, if chosen, run it end to end: branch from the integration branch rather than the current tree, keep the main working copy untouched while the task runs, compare the result against the untouched baseline before declaring it done, and prepare it for a pull request instead of merging. Use when a request says to do the work in a new worktree or branch, when a change is large or risky enough that the main tree should stay usable, when several tasks need to run in parallel on one repository, when a result has to be diffed against current behavior, and when deciding where screenshots, builds, and other artifacts produced in a worktree should end up.

Pull pre-computed ortholog calls from public databases (OrthoDB, Ensembl Compara, OMA browser, eggNOG, PANTHER, KEGG Orthology, HomoloGene) via their REST APIs. Use when orthologs are already curated upstream, when the question is "what is the X ortholog of Y" rather than "how to infer orthology de novo", when batch-mapping gene IDs across species, or when comparing the resources for consensus calls. Encodes confidence-level semantics, 1:1 vs 1:many vs many:many, HomoloGene deprecation, and when to defect to de novo computation.

Mid-conversation reflection skill that pauses execution and zooms out from detail-mode to honestly reassess direction, assumptions, and bias. Use when the user says 'reflect', 'take a step back', 'step back', 'zoom out', 'are we missing something', 'bigger picture', 'sanity check this', 'are we on track', 'are we overthinking this', 'forest for the trees', or any variation signaling intent to break out of detail-mode and reassess. Also trigger when the conversation has gone deep on implementation details without strategic check-in, or when the user shows signs of being stuck — that's often a signal the framing needs a reset, not more detail work. Intentionally low-intake: runs the 5-dimension analysis immediately when prior context is rich enough; asks one forcing clarifier only when invocation context is too thin to reassess from.

Diagnoses and fixes slow Neo4j Cypher queries by reading execution plans, identifying bad operators (AllNodesScan, CartesianProduct, Eager, NodeByLabelScan), and prescribing fixes (indexes, hints, query rewrites, runtime selection). Use when a query is slow, when EXPLAIN or PROFILE output needs interpretation, when dbHits or pageCacheHitRatio are poor, when cardinality estimation diverges from actuals, or when deciding between slotted/pipelined/parallel runtimes. Covers USING INDEX / USING SCAN / USING JOIN hints, db.stats.retrieve, SHOW QUERIES, SHOW TRANSACTIONS, TERMINATE TRANSACTION. Does NOT write new Cypher from scratch — use neo4j-cypher-skill. Does NOT cover GDS algorithm tuning — use neo4j-gds-skill. Does NOT cover index/constraint creation syntax details — use neo4j-cypher-skill references/indexes.md.

Authoritative reference for the neo4j-agent-memory Python package — a graph-native memory system for AI agents built on Neo4j — and for the hosted service (NAMS) at memory.neo4jlabs.com. Use this skill whenever the user mentions neo4j-agent-memory, agent memory with Neo4j, context graphs, the POLE+O model, MemoryClient/MemorySettings, the memory MCP server, or any of the framework integrations (LangChain, PydanticAI, CrewAI, AWS Strands, Google ADK, Microsoft Agent Framework, OpenAI Agents, LlamaIndex). Also use when the user mentions the hosted service at memory.neo4jlabs.com, NAMS, the Neo4j Agent Memory Service, the `nams_` API key prefix, or the hosted MCP endpoint. Also use when writing documentation, blog posts, tutorials, PRDs, or code samples for the project, when comparing agent memory approaches, or when positioning graph-native memory against vector-only approaches — even if the user doesn't explicitly name the package.

Use when a library has released updates that may have changed the APIs the skill covers, when a skill references an old library version, when asked to sync, refresh, update, or check a skill against upstream docs, when the skill's content may have drifted from current library behavior, or when SOURCE: citations are stale. Separate expensive observation from cheap decision-making in autonomous agent loops using a two-clock architecture. A fast clock accumulates data into a digest file; a slow clock reads the digest and acts only when something is pending. Idle cycles cost nothing because the action clock returns immediately after reading an empty digest. Use when building autonomous agents that must observe continuously but can only afford to act occasionally, when API or LLM costs dominate and most cycles have nothing to do, when designing cron-based agent architectures with observation and action phases, or when an existing heartbeat loop is too expensive because it calls the LLM on every tick.

Coordinate safely with a peer interactive session sharing the same git worktree — check first whether a separate worktree removes the problem, then declare path and branch scope before the first edit, survive a contended index lock, and review the whole branch before opening a PR. Activate when starting work in a repository that may already be occupied, when a git command fails with `index.lock: File exists`, when `guard:snapshot` refuses because a snapshot already exists, or when a commit turns out to contain a file this session never edited. When one session leads and the other supports, divide the labour by shape and re-derive every reported number against a named revision before citing it. Distinct from subagent concurrency: a peer session cannot be bracketed, because no baseline exists from before its edits.

Even if the user doesn't explicitly ask for audience research, trigger this if they're writing copy or building a landing page without a clear audience defined.
