Run a two-agent independent review/redteam followed by peer collaboration to produce a consensus superset of findings and enumerated revision requests. Use when Codex 5.5 and Claude Opus 4.7 should first critique a matter independently, then exchange work, synthesize the best combined analysis, and finish with a single agreed revision list.

Compatibility: two live agents with direct comms, preferably Codex 5.5 and Claude Opus 4.7.
Use this skill when a matter deserves two strong independent analyses before consensus.
The pattern is:
[DONE] or files material objections. The output is a single agreed artifact with the strongest combined analysis and an enumerated set of revision requests.
Use for:
Do not use for:
All inputs come from the prompt.
matter: what is being reviewedcontext: why it matters and what success meansartifacts: file paths, commands, URLs, or evidence to inspectoutput_dir: directory for all peer-superset artifactsRecommended:

Direct-send is mandatory. comms.md is only the ledger.
Before tasking, prove both peer sessions are live:
/tmp/interlateral-agents-tmux.sockUse Claude-specific send helpers for Claude Code:
source scripts/tmux-config.sh
claude_send_long_logged "$claude_session" "prompt"
agent_send_long_logged "$codex_session" "prompt"
For fresh, uncertain, changed, or high-risk transport, scripts/identity-direct-send-compat.js is an optional post-send evidence validator for nonce/sender/sid/target; it is not required for routine peer-superset sessions.
Place all artifacts in output_dir:
{output_dir}/

claude-independent-prompt.md
codex-original.md
claude-original.md
codex-synthesis-prompt.md
claude-response-prompt.md
consensus-codex-draft.md
consensus-claude-response.md
codex-final-prompt.md
claude-final-confirm-prompt.md
consensus-final.md
claude-final-objections.md # only if not accepted
Use absolute paths in prompts. This avoids ambiguity across repos.
If output_dir is absent, the controller may create only that directory and must not create unrelated files. If a peer cannot write its assigned artifact, it reports INCOMPLETE rather than improvising another location.
The controller may be the human or an orchestrating agent. The controller must:
output_dirPeers do not own transport orchestration unless the assignment explicitly says so.
Each peer must:
STATUS: COMPLETE when the prompt requests itPrefer direct, path-bearing notifications over filesystem polling.
At each phase boundary, the producer should send:
PATH_READY {artifact_path}
The next peer should ACK the path before starting. The controller records the notification and ACK in the ledger or phase notes.
If notification fails but the artifact exists, the controller may proceed only after confirming the producing peer's done marker and artifact completeness.
Default phase timeouts:
If a peer times out or is unavailable before independent originals, status is INCOMPLETE unless the human explicitly authorizes DEGRADED_SINGLE_PEER. Do not silently continue as if two peers ran.
If a fresh preferred peer cannot launch, the controller may use an existing live peer only after recording the fallback, prior-context risk, and independence controls in the final report.
Write two role-specific prompts.
Both prompts must include the same matter, context, artifacts, and success criteria. Each prompt must explicitly say:
Codex done marker:
CODEX_SUPERSET_ORIGINAL_DONE
Claude done marker:
CLAUDE_SUPERSET_ORIGINAL_DONE
Required original review structure:

Open questions or blockers:
Independence statement:
Do not begin synthesis until both original files exist, both are non-empty, both done markers are visible or otherwise verified, both include independence statements, and the controller has recorded hashes or mtimes before exchange.
After both originals exist, send Codex both original paths and ask it to draft the combined superset.
Required draft structure:
# Consensus Superset Draft

Must-fix revisions:
Should-fix revisions:
Nice-to-have / future work:
Matter-specific integration notes:
Rejected or downgraded ideas:
Remaining questions:
Proposed exact wording or section changes:
Codex writes:
{output_dir}/consensus-codex-draft.md
Codex then notifies Claude by direct-send with the draft path.
Done marker:
CODEX_SUPERSET_DRAFT_DONE
Claude reads both originals and Codex's draft.
Claude must:
Claude writes:
{output_dir}/consensus-claude-response.md
Claude then notifies Codex by direct-send.
If Claude's response phase adds more than roughly 30% new must-fix items relative to Codex's draft, Claude should flag an objection-storm risk and propose either a third triage round or acceptance with explicit later re-prioritization.
Done marker:
CLAUDE_SUPERSET_RESPONSE_DONE
Codex integrates Claude's response into:
{output_dir}/consensus-final.md

Final peer-collaboration status:
Codex sends Claude the final file path and asks for [DONE].
Claude either:
[DONE], replies with CLAUDE_SUPERSET_FINAL_DONE, and writes no objection file, or{output_dir}/claude-final-objections.md with material objections. If Claude files objections, Codex gets one repair round to update consensus-final.md. If material objections remain after that round, final status is INCOMPLETE and the controller reports the objection path to the human.
Final done markers:
CODEX_SUPERSET_FINAL_DONE
CLAUDE_SUPERSET_FINAL_DONE
If fresh peers are needed:
CODEX_MODEL=gpt-5.5 scripts/launch-codex-peer.sh ps-codex-reviewer \
"Read AGENTS.md and .codex/skills/peer-superset/SKILL.md, then wait for the peer-superset assignment. Reply READY_FOR_PEER_SUPERSET_CODEX."

"Read CLAUDE.md and .claude/skills/peer-superset/SKILL.md, then wait for the peer-superset assignment. Reply READY_FOR_PEER_SUPERSET_CLAUDE."

Boot the explicitly selected CLI(s) as the human's concierge: a project-aware side channel that sits ABOVE the running agent system in a shared writable terminal. It answers status questions and handles the human's ad hoc tasking while the working agents collaborate on the mesh — it is not a worker, manager, or gatekeeper, and team progress never waits for it.
