Description
aaoracled is a research tool that turns a jailbroken iOS or iPadOS device into an App Attest oracle capable of minting keys and producing attestations for arbitrary App IDs. It ships as a single Debian package containing OracledDCPatch, a Theos tweak that hooks devicecheckd to forge caller-specified bundle identities, and aaoracled, a local REST daemon that drives DCAppAttestService for key generation, attestation, signing, and deletion. Written primarily in Objective-C with Ghidra- and Frida-assisted offset discovery, it demonstrates that App Attest's App-ID binding is enforced in userspace rather than the Secure Enclave on compromised hardware. The work targets authorized security researchers evaluating anti-fraud and anti-tampering SDKs that over-rely on App Attest, and pairs each demonstrated gap with server-side mitigation guidance.
