skill-md-review

Review an Agent Skill's `SKILL.md` using four criteria: clarity, specific steps, safety, and setup. The skill checks format and referenced files, assigns A/B/C grades with evidence, and suggests concrete text changes for weaker areas.

Good for

  • Reviewing a skill before publishing
  • Improving a SKILL.md with low grades
  • Checking a skill's safety and setup requirements
  • Getting specific edits based on a review

Overview

What it does

This skill checks an Agent Skill’s SKILL.md and the files it references. It reviews the frontmatter, name, description, referenced files, and document length, then grades clarity, specificity, safety, and setup from A to C. Each grade includes evidence from the relevant text. For B or C grades, it gives prioritized improvements and draft wording or a patch you can paste into the file. The review also checks for external data transfers, file deletion, credential access, and tool installation.

When it helps

Use it to review a skill before publishing it, assess whether an existing skill appears safe to use, or make specific improvements to lower-rated areas.

Example requests

  • “Review this SKILL.md against the four criteria.”
  • “Check the format and safety before I publish this skill.”
  • “Suggest edits to improve the B and C grades.”

Notes

Referenced scripts are read but never run. The skill does not send data externally or execute commands. It edits files only after you approve. The review checks the document; it does not guarantee that a skill is safe.

This overview was written by AI (OpenAI Codex) from the public SKILL.md. Check the original below for the exact behavior.

Document check

AI checked the SKILL.md for operations that need care and for setup requirements. The score comes only from actually running the skill (hands-on test).

SafetyAre sending data, deleting files, and running commands disclosed?
AGoodIt forbids script execution and external transfers, and requires approval before edits.
Easy setupDoes it need few tools or API keys, and are they documented?
AGoodNo CLI, API key, paid service, or OS prerequisite is listed.

Not counted in the score. Rated by AI (OpenAI Codex) as of Oct 27, 2026. Treat it as a guide and read the original before installing.

skill-md-review

  2. SKILL.md を読む。

## skill-md-review: <name>
