social-selling-routine

Use this skill when a seller or founder wants a repeatable daily LinkedIn social selling routine that fits in 30-45 minutes: "build my social selling routine", "what should I do on LinkedIn every day", "how to sell on LinkedIn consistently". Sets a daily and weekly cadence for posting, commenting, connecting, messaging and following up, with targets, a tracking sheet and the weekly review that tells you what to change.

Use this when LinkedIn activity is sporadic: a burst of posting, then nothing for a month. It produces a routine short enough to keep and specific enough to measure.

Inputs

  • Target accounts and personas.
  • Time available per day.
  • Current activity: posts per week, connections, messages, replies.

The play

1. The daily block (30-45 minutes)

MinutesActivityTarget
5Check notifications; reply to comments and messagesEvery reply within the day
10Comment on 5-8 posts from target buyers and the voices they follow5+ thoughtful comments
10Send connection requests with notes to today's list10-20 requests
10First messages to new connections; follow-ups due todayAll due messages
5Log meetings, replies and anything worth a postUpdated sheet

2. The weekly layer

  • 2 posts a week (one practical, one story or opinion).
  • Refresh the target list: add 50-100 new people, remove those who declined or went cold.
  • 30-minute review on Friday (below).

3. Track five numbers

Connection requests sent, acceptance rate, conversations started (replies), meetings booked, and posts published. Followers and impressions are vanity unless the right people are in them.

4. Weekly review

IfThen
Acceptance under 25%Tighten targeting or fix the profile and note
Accepted but few repliesFirst message is a pitch; make it a question about their world
Replies but no meetingsBridge to the problem earlier; offer something concrete
Posts get likes from peers, not buyersWrite about buyer problems, not your industry gossip

5. Protect the account

Stay well inside invitation and message limits, avoid browser extensions that automate actions in ways the platform prohibits, and keep pending invitations under a few hundred by withdrawing old ones.

What good looks like

  • Done four or five days a week for a quarter, not seven days for two weeks.
  • The numbers move: acceptance, conversations and meetings, in that order.
  • The common mistake is treating posting as the whole strategy; most meetings come from conversations, which come from connecting and commenting.

Rules

  • MUST keep activity inside safe platform limits.
  • MUST review the numbers weekly and change one thing at a time.
  • NEVER buy followers, engagement pods or fake engagement.

Example prompts

  • "Build me a 30-minute daily LinkedIn routine. I'm a founder selling to HR leaders."
  • "Review my last month of LinkedIn numbers and tell me what to change."
  • "Make a tracking sheet for my team's social selling."

Use this skill when you run account-based marketing or sales on a short list of named accounts: "build an ABM plan", "account plan for our top 20", "how do we break into this enterprise account", "1:1 ABM program". Picks the accounts and the ABM tier (1:1, 1:few, 1:many), maps the buying group, writes the account insight and value hypothesis, plans coordinated sales and marketing plays by stage, and sets the metrics (engagement, meetings, pipeline) that show it is working.

Use this skill when you need to research a target company before outreach, a first call or an account plan: "research this account", "what should I know about Acme before the call", "find a reason to reach out". Produces a one-page account brief with what the company does, current priorities, recent trigger events, likely pains tied to your offer, the people to contact and three specific outreach angles, each with its source. Built for SDRs, AEs and founders doing B2B sales.

Use this skill when you need to decide which accounts get the most effort: "tier my account list", "which accounts should get 1:1 research", "prioritise my territory", "score these companies". Scores every account on ICP fit and timing, assigns Tier 1, 2 or 3 with a clear effort level for each tier, and explains the score so reps trust it. Produces a tiered account list and the operating rules for how much research, personalization and channel effort each tier gets.

Use this skill when you want your brand recommended and cited by AI assistants and answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews): "answer engine optimisation", "get cited by ChatGPT", "AEO audit", "why doesn't AI recommend us", "generative engine optimization". Finds the questions buyers ask assistants in your category, checks how answers describe you today, and rewrites pages so they give extractable, factual, well-structured answers with clear entities, comparisons, schema and third-party corroboration.

Use this skill when you want to close the loop with a prospect who has not replied after several touches, or a deal that went silent: "write a breakup email", "last email in the sequence", "close the loop politely". Writes a short, gracious final email that gives an easy out, invites a one-word reply, leaves the door open for later and often gets more replies than any earlier step. Includes versions for cold sequences, stalled deals and lost champions.

Use this skill when you need B2B buyer personas that sales and marketing will actually use: before writing outreach to a new title, when messaging feels generic, or when a deal stalls because the wrong person is engaged. Builds a persona per role in the buying committee with goals, pains in their own words, what they are measured on, objections, trusted sources and the message angle that works, plus a do-not-say list. Covers economic buyers, champions, users and blockers.
