Separate a strategy return series into declared baseline exposure and residual edge with returns-based OLS attribution, HAC inference, rolling stability, alternate-baseline sensitivity, and regime breakdowns. Use when evaluating whether backtest, out-of-sample, or live returns contain independent alpha beyond market, equal-weight, momentum, sector, or user-supplied factor returns; when explaining whether a drawdown came from baseline exposure or strategy-specific behavior; or when a strategy needs an attribution quality gate after backtesting. Do not use for holdings-based Brinson attribution, feature-level Shapley explanations, or analysis from summary metrics without a dated return series.

Recover from stale RFDB nodes that survive `commit_batch` cleanup despite having their `file` field listed in `changed_files`. Use when: (1) re-running an enricher/orchestrator step but old data with the same file field stays in the graph, (2) `commit_batch(changed_files=[X], ...)` reports success but a query later still returns nodes with `file = X`, (3) you re-pointed structural nodes (e.g., DIRECTORY/FILE) from a synthetic file path to real file paths and the old synthetic-path nodes won't go away, (4) graph-stream / find_by_type returns a mix of "stale" and "new" nodes for the same logical entity. Root cause: `handle_commit_batch` calls `engine.find_by_attr({file: X})` to enumerate nodes-to-delete, but that query path returns only a PARTIAL set after compaction (L1 segments and the file→nodes index can desync). Workaround: enumerate stale nodes via the TS rfdb client `queryNodes({file: X})` (different code path that finds all of them) and call `deleteNode(id)` per node, then re-commit the intended state. Related: rfdb-manifest-l1-carryforward (same L1 family).

"Apply event study methodology to measure abnormal returns and cumulative abnormal returns (CAR) around corporate or market events. Use this skill when the user needs to quantify the market impact of announcements, design event and estimation windows, or when they ask 'did this event affect stock price', 'how do I calculate abnormal returns', or 'what is the market reaction to this announcement'.".

Complete methodology for computing publication-quality cumulative abnormal returns with proper event-study test statistics, matching the robustness of Kaspereit's eventstudy2 for Stata. Covers dateline construction, event-date mapping, estimation and event windows, thin-trading adjustment, OLS with Theil prediction error correction, abnormal return computation, CAR/CAAR/AAR accumulation, boundary contamination guards, and common tests such as Patell, BMP, Kolari-Pynnonen, generalized sign, Wilcoxon, and GRANK-T. Use when the user mentions abnormal returns, event windows, market-model regressions, CARs, CAAR, AAR, eventstudy2, thin trading, trade-to-trade returns, or event-study test statistics.

Use this skill to verify CLAIM-LEVEL grounding of a documentation page (or set of pages) against the source code. Activate when you have specific pages to check for factual accuracy -- not when sweeping a whole corpus (use docs-corpus-audit for that) and not when triaging a PR diff (use docs-sync for that). Trigger nouns: "is this doc accurate", "verify the page against the code", "fact-check this section", "any claims that drifted from source", "fact-checking", "grounding audit", "drift hunt", "claim verification". Returns per-claim verdicts (GROUNDED | PARTIAL | CONTRADICTED | UNSUPPORTED) with file:line evidence citations. Catches paragraph-level inaccuracies that page-level audit averages over -- e.g. a paragraph with 5 claims where 4 are grounded and 1 is fabricated. Does NOT modify files (returns advisory only); does NOT re-architect the docs; does NOT triage PRs.

Use this skill when the user is doing hands-on DOCA SHA programming — offloading SHA-1, SHA-256, or SHA-512 hashing onto a BlueField DPU or ConnectX accelerator, picking between one-shot `doca_sha_task_hash` and incremental `doca_sha_task_partial_hash`, querying `doca_sha_cap_*` for algorithm support and min destination / max source buffer sizes, setting source / destination `doca_mmap` permissions, or decoding DOCA_ERROR_* returns from the SHA API. Trigger even when the user does not explicitly mention "DOCA SHA" or "doca_sha_task" — typical implicit phrasings include "hash a multi-GiB file on the DPU", "offload SHA-256 to the BlueField", "streaming hash over chunks", "partial hash returns BAD_STATE", "destination buffer too small for digest", or "is SHA-512 available on this card". Refuse and route elsewhere for general cryptographic-hash theory (collision resistance, SHA-3 selection), other DOCA crypto libraries (AES-GCM, Compress, DMA), or DOCA install / BFB bring-up — those belong to other skills.

Use this skill when the user is doing hands-on DOCA Erasure Coding programming on a BlueField DPU, ConnectX NIC, or host — bringing up a doca_ec context, picking among the create / recover / update tasks, choosing matrix type / N / K / block size, querying doca_ec_cap_* before sizing, setting doca_mmap src/dst permissions, or debugging DOCA_ERROR_* returns from doca_ec_task_*. Trigger even when the user does not name "DOCA Erasure Coding" or "Reed-Solomon" — typical implicit phrasings include "one data block changed, how do I refresh parity without re-encoding", "a disk failed and 2 parity blocks are gone, can I rebuild", "RAID-6 resilience across 12 disks", "my doca_ec_task_create returns NOT_PERMITTED", or "is this N+K layout still recoverable". Refuse and route elsewhere for non-Reed-Solomon codes (fountain / LDPC / raptor), pure-replication designs, network FEC, or other DOCA accelerator libraries (SHA / Compress / AES-GCM / DMA) — those belong to other skills.

Use this skill when the user is doing hands-on DOCA DMA programming — bringing up a doca_dma context, configuring the single doca_dma_task_memcpy task type, sizing buffers via the doca_dma_cap_task_memcpy_* queries, setting LOCAL_READ_ONLY / LOCAL_READ_WRITE permissions on source / destination doca_mmap regions (plus doca_mmap_export_* for cross-peer copies), driving the progress engine, or debugging DOCA_ERROR_* returns. Trigger even when the user does not explicitly mention "DOCA DMA" or "doca_mmap" — typical implicit phrasings include "memcpy host buffer to BlueField without using the CPU", "offload a bulk copy to the DPU", "copy returns NOT_PERMITTED on first submit", "buffer too big for one DMA task", "task submitted but no completion", or "scatter-gather copy between two memory regions". Refuse and route elsewhere for cross-network copies (DOCA RDMA), producer/consumer messaging (DOCA Comch), DOCA Core / progress-engine internals, or DOCA install — those belong to other skills.

Fixes web search on an agent whose model backend can't run it: a relay/reseller proxying Claude or Codex returns empty instead of failing. Use when web search returns nothing, a model insists a shipped product doesn't exist, someone wants to give an agent internet access, or the user is on a third-party base URL, relay, or 中转站. Diagnoses which built-in tools are dead, removes them, and installs a working replacement.

Fix JSON parse errors when fetching archived API responses from Wayback Machine. Use when: (1) Getting "Expecting value: line 1 column 1 (char 0)" JSON decode errors from archived URLs, (2) Wayback returns HTML instead of expected JSON/raw content, (3) Crawling archived REST APIs or JSON endpoints from web.archive.org. The `id_` modifier returns raw content without the Wayback toolbar wrapper.

Fix empty results when paginating Wayback Machine CDX API with wildcard URL queries. Use when: (1) CDX query with url=foo/* and page=0 returns empty/0 bytes but works without page parameter, (2) CDX pagination returns no data for wildcard prefix searches, (3) Need to paginate large CDX result sets using wildcard URL matching. Covers showResumeKey, offset, and page parameter incompatibilities.

Fix features broken by REST API responses that flatten Nostr events, losing tag data. Use when: (1) A feature works for WebSocket-loaded events but not REST API-loaded ones, (2) A model field (like sha256, textTrackRef) is null for REST API data but set for WebSocket data, (3) REST API returns denormalized fields (d_tag, video_url) but omits raw tags array, (4) hasSubtitles/hasFeature returns false for REST-loaded videos. Common in Nostr clients that use both REST APIs (for analytics/bulk queries) and WebSocket (for real-time events).

Fix iOS AVPlayer "CoreMediaErrorDomain error -12939 - byte range length mismatch" or similar video streaming failures when a proxy/edge/CDN service sits between the client and object storage (GCS, S3, R2). Use when: (1) iOS video fails with -12939 "byte range length mismatch - should be length 2 is length N", (2) curl with Range: bytes=0-1 returns full file instead of 2 bytes, (3) one URL path works with Range but another path to the same storage doesn't, (4) proxy advertises Accept-Ranges: bytes but returns 200 with full file for range requests. The root cause is typically a proxy handler that constructs a new request to the backend without forwarding the client's Range header.

Debug "API returns data that doesn't exist in database" when multiple Kubernetes clusters exist (production, staging, POC). Use when: (1) REST API returns records that direct database queries can't find, (2) Data counts match approximately but specific records don't overlap, (3) kubectl context points to a different cluster than the one serving the public domain, (4) ClickHouse/Postgres queries return stale or different data than the API, (5) "completely different datasets" despite same table names and schemas. Root cause: querying the wrong cluster's database.

Fix wildcard subdomain routing for Fastly Compute@Edge services when subdomains resolve but return 500 "Domain Not Found" or empty responses. Use when: (1) TLS subscription "issued" but edge serves default certificate (CN=j.sni-644-default), (2) Fastly domain-v1 create succeeds but subdomain returns 500, (3) Static publisher/PublisherServer returns empty content for subdomain requests, (4) DNS wildcard CNAME resolves to wrong target. Covers TLS configuration SNI endpoint selection (x.sni vs j.sni vs w.sni), DNS trailing dot issues, Fastly domain-v1 activation, and reading from KV store directly when PublisherServer fails for subdomains.

Fix "Fastly error: unknown domain" 500 errors when custom domains return "Domain Not Found" despite being created with domain-v1 CLI. Use when: (1) fastly domain-v1 create succeeds but domain returns 500, (2) Domain shows activated:false in API response, (3) Classic domain API returns "deprecated" error, (4) Custom domain works on edgecompute.app but not on your domain. Covers Fastly Compute domain setup post-September 2025.

Suede-owned recovery discipline for recurring charges billed outside Amazon: App Store, Google Play, PayPal, direct-bill streaming, gyms, news, and SaaS. Use when the user wants to find, audit, cancel, or dispute a subscription they may have forgotten, is being charged for twice, or no longer uses. Every cancellation and dispute requires the user to name the service first. Never enters payment credentials and never promises a refund. Requires Claude in Chrome for browser actions. NOT FOR: Amazon returns, restocking fees, or Amazon-billed Prime Video Channels, Audible, Kindle Unlimited, or Prime (use amazon-returns-recovery); merchant-side dunning and cancel-flow design (use suede-churn-prevention).
